Three days ago I’ve heard the rumor, two days ago got back in town, yesterday the rumor was validated by media, today I’ve bought the tickets..
Ain’t that cute? But it’s “RIGHT”!
After they’ve made us sad (and mad!) when skipping Romania in the Black Ice World Tour, AC/DC is finally coming to Romania! And that’s happening in one and a half months, somewhere at 15KM far from Bucharest during the event that intends to be the biggest rock concert in Romania ever!
This was the post I was ready to put on the blog and trying to search more info on this I ran into this:
Promoters in Bucharest, Romania have been falsely advertising AC/DC as the headliner for their 2 day Bucharest Rock Arena festival happening on May 30 and 31, 2009. Tickets for this event have been available online as well as various retail outlets in Bucharest. AC/DC’s Black Ice World Tour is sweeping through Europe where the band are headlining the 02 Arena in London tonight as well as April 16, 2009. AC/DC fans are encouraged to visit the band’s official website for a list of all sanctioned concerts. AC/DC will complete another 20 European dates before returning to the U.S. for a tour which kicks off on July 28 in Foxborough, MA.
Quote from acdc.com and acdcrocks.com websites, issued on 14th of April
So, it seems that we’ve got scammed! I’ve buyed the tickets and it seems that somebody was wrong about all the stuff. The latest info on AC/DC performing live at Bucharest Rock Arena says that OneEvent was involved ONLY for the romanian performers and PlayCool, the company that was 100% involved in bringing AC/DC in Bucharest has dissapeared somewhere in Israel. Nice one!
Anyway, there are rumors that the tickets can be returned and everybody can get their money back starting 15th of april. I’ll keep you updated regarding this issue…
Claudiu, what the heck are we doing? Are we going to Athens?
LE: got my money back for the tickets, no problem at all at DIVERTA. I’m still wondering if somebody had really the intention to bring ACDC in Romania or was just a stupid scam… Any opinions on that?..
LE2: Some details
Details (and a video) here: http://messenger.yahoo.com/iphone
LATER EDIT: I’ve just managed to install & use a little bit of the new Y! Messenger for iPhone app (ver 1.0) and it’s super kewl. I mean, near the usual contact list you can use most of the stuff that you were used to:
- can set a status
- can log in into (or change status to) invisible mode
- can use emoticons
- can send pictures, either from the phone or instant shots
- can send SMS messages by specifying the phone number (didn’t tried)
I’ve made some printscreens, maybe I will upload them here later today…
